Tormenta de Santa Rosa

I recently learned that the reason it hasn't stopped raining here for a week is la Tormenta de Santa Rosa, a storm that occurs in the Southern Hemisphere around the end of August/beginning of September every year, and brings with it a lot of rain. However, it apparently also signals the end of winter, and the start of spring. So here's to better weather soon!

Well, it's been awhile since I've written anything here, so here are some things I've done between then and now:

  • A few weekends ago I went to the 00:30 Saturday night/Sunday morning show at Thelonious Club, one of Buenos Aires's more renowned jazz clubs, in Palermo, and saw a really dope brass band called Levas Cruzadas.
  • Saw a really cool tango/fusión show at a theater called El Cubo in Abasto.
  • Moved into a new apartment.
  • Finished my TEFL course..I'm certified!
